Smart Look O/A Smart Look Haircut Barber Shop is looking for a highly talented and experienced Barber specializing in razor cutting, beard grooming, and mustache shaping to become part of our team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in styling facial hair, demonstrating precision in razor cutting for both hair and facial hair. Expertise in trimming, shaping, and grooming beards and mustaches to the highest standards is essential.

Start Date of Employment (Approx.): As soon as possible.
Wage: $35.00 to 40.00/hour for 30-35 hours per week (Overtime after 40 hours as per BC labor law)
Benefits: 4% Vacation pay

Job Duties:
• Maintain supplies by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing orders.
• Provide hair treatments, including shampooing and straightening.
• Shave and trim beards and mustaches with precision
• Cut, trim, shampoo and style hair according to client preferences
• Train or supervise other helpers
• Keep all tools, equipment, and workstations sanitized in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Book appointments and manage client schedules
Job Requirements:
• Completion of Secondary School is required
• 1 to 2 years of experience in similar field
(Note: Applicants with recognized cosmetology or barbering school can be considered with less than 1 year experience)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of hair and facial hair textures, products, and grooming techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced salon environment.
• Attention to detail and precision in hair cutting and styling.
• Knowledge of hair care products and their appropriate usage.
• Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on industry trends and techniques.
