At this time we are looking for a Purchasing Associate, the duties associated with this role are as follows:
• Communicate effectively and build relationships with vendors, management, and staff;
• Assist with backorders, current orders and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan and schedule to optimize output;
• Issue PO’s for any new or additional material required;
• Assist with day-to-day purchasing operation’s needs;
• Assist with coordinating with suppliers to resolve invoice and packing slip issues when necessary;
• Assist with resolving any suppliers’ issues, price increase request, quality and shipment issues;
• Deal with all receiving related tasks;
• Create and maintain delivery schedule for all relevant suppliers in accordance with the production schedule;
• Assist with analyzing MTO’s;
• Maintain, follow up and track purchase orders and suppliers deliveries;
• Understand company policies and procedures; and
• Any other tasks assigned by the Production Control Specialist.
Skills requirements:
• Secondary school diploma
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience working in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain/inventory management is required

(a) the employee is entitled to be paid overtime pay for each hour of work performed in the week after the total of 44 hours performed; and
(b)the overtime pay for each hour referred to in clause (a) is one and a-half times the regular rate that applies to the work performed in that hour.
This position is a full-time, permanent position where English is the primary language of work.
The primary location of work will be at the primary business address: 220 Hunter’s Valley Rd, Vaughan.
