Acupuncture College of Manitoba provides an enriched learning environment and has helped countless students start their careers in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Founded in 2020, our college is based in Winnipeg and reflects the diverse backgrounds and cultures of the area. Students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through clinical internships, where they can practice under the supervision of acupuncturists and traditional Chinese medicine practitioners.

We are now looking for a motivated and experienced Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner with rich experience who can treat various physical conditions, illnesses, and allergies through various forms of treatment, including acupuncture, herbology, and other holistic health approaches.

The TCM Practitioner must have adequate experience as well as excellent organizational skills. This position also requires mastery of multi-tasking, planning, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be committed to providing excellent customer service, and be enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of others.

Responsibilities:
1. Create personalized treatment plans based on TCM principles, which may include herbal remedies, acupuncture, cupping, and other TCM therapies.
2. Evaluate patients’ symptoms, medical histories, and overall health using traditional Chinese medicine diagnostic techniques.
3. Recommend and prepare traditional Chinese herbal formulas to address patients’ specific health issues and support their overall well-being.
4. Apply treatments such as acupuncture, scraping (Gua Sha), and cupping therapy to regulate energy flow and promote healing for patients.
5. Regularly assess patients’ responses to treatment and adjust plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
6. Work with other healthcare providers to offer holistic care when necessary.
7. Keep detailed records of patients’ health histories, treatments, and progress to ensure continuity of care.
8. Offer guidance on dietary changes, exercise, and lifestyle adjustments to support patients’ health and complement their treatment.
9. Inform patients about the principles of TCM and how their treatment plan works to address their health concerns.
10. Follow local regulations and ethical guidelines related to the practice of traditional Chinese medicine.
11. Complete other tasks/responsibilities in the best interests of the patients.

Job Requirements:
1. A master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine is required; a doctor’s degree is considered an asset.
2. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in traditional Chinese medicine is required.
3. Registration with a regulatory body for traditional Chinese medicine practitioners is a strong asset.

Skills Requirements:
1. Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
2. Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with patients.
3. Proficient in computer skills, including the advanced level of Microsoft Office, and can learn additional software programs quickly.
4. Attention to detail is crucial to this position.
5. Masterful skills in organization and leadership.
6. Must be able to multi-task, stay organized, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
7. Demonstrated initiative to analyze and resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
8. Ability to exercise accuracy, confidentiality, tact, and discretion.

Terms of Employment
Permanent, full-time, 30 - 40 hours per week

Wage
$30 - $35 per hour
