In 2012 Luis and Sandra Pavao opened their first supermarket at 245 Dixon Road in Etobicoke. Today Pavao has eight locations across GTA. The company's growth can only be achieved by skilled butchers who can fulfill orders and adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and service.
We are now looking for a professional Retail Butcher to join our team to keep offering quality and reliable services. Successful candidates must be responsible, reliable and able to work unsupervised.
Job Duties
-Clean, cut, trim, and prepare meats, including carcasses, poultry, and specialty cuts based on customer requests.
-Wrap, package, weigh, and price meat products for sale.
-Debone meats and grind them for various preparations, including sausage-making.
-Slice cooked meats and create attractive displays of meats, poultry, and seafood.
-Supervise and train butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers.
-Assist customers with purchases and fulfill special orders.
Requirements
-Completion of High School (Preferred);
-1-2+ years of experience working with meat, preferably in a high-volume retail environment;
-Flexible hours and weekends;
-Physically able to lift 50 pounds of force frequently
