  Description :  
Flynn Canada Ltd. is currently recruiting skilled Glazier Foreman (commercial) to fill 2 F/T vacancies in the Toronto and surrounding area (6435 Northwest Drive, Mississauga, Ontario, L4V 1K2). Other locations across Ontario will be required based on awarded projects.

Responsibilities include:
• Oversee all aspects of Glazing work including but not limited to safety, housekeeping, and workmanship quality
• Prepare production and other reports
• Supervise workers and projects
• Co-ordinate and schedule activities
• Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions,
• Train or arrange for training, Set up machines and equipment,
• Estimate costs and materials,
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed,
• Read blueprints and drawings, Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies,
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites,
• Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met,
• Communicate with other workers to co-ordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments,
• Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports,
• Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications Required:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a glazier in the commercial construction industry OR completion of a two- to three-year apprenticeship program OR Journeyman/woman certificate equivalent
• Previous experience in Foreman/woman role is preferred
• Completion of secondary school diploma OR equivalent is preferred
• Strong knowledge in installing/ servicing automatic door operators, and related electronic accessories
• Intermediate English or French skills
• Hold a valid Driver's License
• This is a unionized position; if hired, all candidates will be required to become a member (if not already)

• Ability to instruct apprentices and new workers
• Ability to work at heights
• Ability to learn and obey our extensive company safety policy
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

Terms of Employment:
- Permanent full time at 30-40 hours a week. Overtime after 44 hours a week, paid at time and a half. Overtime at the rate of 1.5X after 8 hours a day Monday – Thursday, 5.5 hours on Friday. Double time after 10 hours a day Monday – Thursday and 7.5 hours a day on Fridays and on weekends. Double time after 37.5 hours a week.
- $48.44 - $53.00 per hour, depending on qualifications as well as the collective bargaining agreement (starting wage for meeting minimum requirements is $48.88, wage scale increases based on additional experience and conditions outlined in collective bargaining agreement)
- Benefits package offered by Union.
- 4% vacation in all earnings, 6% stat holiday pay on all earnings except for vacation pay, less applicable tax deductions
