We are seeking a skilled Construction Scheduler to support our Consulting & Project Delivery team. The Construction Scheduler will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates and material quantity take-offs based on construction drawings, specifications, and client requirements. This position is key in supporting cost planning, tendering, and budgeting for complex infrastructure and building projects.

• Duties:
o Collaborate with the Consulting & Project Delivery team based in North America to support project cost estimating and planning.
o Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to extract scope for cost estimating.
o Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment across all construction disciplines (civil, structural, architectural, etc.).
o Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing for all phases of the project lifecycle (conceptual to final).
o Analyze historical cost data, subcontractor quotes, and productivity factors to produce accurate estimates.
o Contribute to pre-construction budgeting and financial forecasting in collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.
o Assist in the evaluation of bids and quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
o Attend remote meetings with North American clients to clarify scope and present estimate deliverables.
o Prepare cost reports, estimate breakdowns, and written narratives to support internal decision-making and client presentations.
o Ensure cost estimates adhere to quality standards, contractual requirements, and company procedures.
o Work independently, following a structured delivery plan and taking ownership of assigned estimating tasks.
• Position Requirements / Skills:
o Bachelor’s degree or 3-year college diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
o Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry, including at least 3 years focused on estimating and quantity take-off.
o Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Excel) and strong technical literacy.
o In-depth understanding of construction documents and technical specifications.
o Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
o Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.

• Work Setting: Office, hybrid work available
• Working Conditions:
o Evening Shifts or Late Night Shifts.
o Some travel to the United States may be required.
o Valid passport required.
• Wages: CAD $35.00 per hour. Overtime rate paid at CAD $52.50 per hour after 44 hours.
• Work Hours: 35 hours per week, with occasional overtime.
