The Strategic Procurement, Supply Chain and Fleet division is looking to build a Talent Pool of qualified candidates for future opportunities at NB Power! This department is responsible for the end-to-end procurement process which includes sourcing strategies, procurement process, inventory management and planning. Supply Chain employees manage inventory, logistics processes and procure materials, equipment, and services from reputable suppliers at the lowest total cost of ownership in a timely manner. Positions range from Analyst, Contract Specialist, Expeditor, Buyer, Supply Planner, along with other related roles within the Supply Chain organization.
We're looking to build a talent pool for the following positions:
Supply Chain Inventory Analyst: The Supply Chain Inventory Analyst provides direct reporting and analysis support to inventory planning and operations to enable management to monitor process performance, mitigate risk and identify potential areas of improvement. The Analyst also provides ad-hoc reporting support to internal business partners such as Finance, Business Innovation, and Internal Audit on Supply Chain related data.
Requirements for this role include a university degree in Business Administration, in addition to five years of progressively responsible experience in Supply Chain, Warehousing, Procurement, Contracting or Strategic Sourcing or Planning inventory replenishments, analyzing and presenting data, mining data gathering requirements. SAP experience (or equivalent), as well as an intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft excel is also required.
Buyer: The Buyer is responsible for procuring materials, equipment, and services from reputable suppliers at the lowest total cost of ownership, in a timely manner, following policy and legislation. The Buyer provides advice and guidance to customers regarding tendering requirements and other aspects of the procurement process.
Field Supply Planner: The Field Supply Planner is responsible for identifying material and service requirements associated with the inventory master and providing a pro-active approach to effectively fulfilling these needs while maintaining compliance with supply chain, safety and environmental policies and providing support to ensure best value.
Our ideal candidate(s) will have:
• High School diploma or equivalent for certain roles
• Post-secondary education may be required for most professional roles
• University degree in Business Administration is preferred
• College diploma in Supply Chain or a Technical field would be considered an asset
• Procurement or Supply Designation or certificates would be considered an asset
We are looking for candidates with experience in the following areas:
• Experience in Supply Chain, Warehousing, Procurement, Contracting or Strategic Sourcing or Planning inventory replenishments
• Experience working with SAP or equivalent ERP
• Intermediate Computer Skills (Microsoft Office suite)
• Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, mining data, analyzing and presenting data.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel focused on the use of spreadsheets, pivot tables, formulas, macros, graphs and charts.
• Strong client orientation and communication skills (verbal & written)
• Analytical skills
• Previous experience in Public Procurement, Logistics and Inventory roles considered an asset
• Some positions will require that you have experience with a forklift or other heavy equipment, please indicate if you have this experience on your application.
