Role: Senior Purchasing Agent
Responsibilities
•Analyze purchasing and procurement data to identify trends, ensure budget compliance, and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
•Collaborate in the development of annual maintenance and spare parts budgets, providing insights and forecasts aligned with organizational objectives.
•Manage vendor relationships and maintain strong communication with internal departments to support timely, cost-effective purchasing decisions.
•Review and process purchase orders (POs), validate pricing, and ensure accurate invoice processing and reconciliation.
•Coordinate procurement schedules and inventory replenishment to ensure consistent material availability and prevent stockouts.
•Conduct audits and participate in process reviews to ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies and external regulatory standards.
•Support and mentor new team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable procurement environment.
•Lead or contribute to inventory management projects, including data migration, accuracy improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Maintain and update key procurement reports, including monthly expense meters, engineering spend charts, and PO tracking logs.
•Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety regulations, environmental standards, and food safety policies.
•Uphold the principles of the company’s Integrated Management Systems, including production, quality, GMP, and food safety standards.
Profile of the ideal candidate
•Educational background in Supply Chain Management, with a strong understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory control.
•Knowledge of spare parts for manufacturer, production & plant supplies
•Knowledge of Accounting, Inventory & Warehouse system
•Numerical accuracy dealing with lot of data, Part numbers or items
•Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, etc.
•Good interpersonal skills and communication skills to interact with cross functional teams
•Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
