Orrett Music Academy, Toronto’s largest and most dynamic music school, is seeking passionate and skilled music instructors to join our team. With over 25 years of excellence in music education, we serve more than 1,200 students across our Etobicoke and Oakville locations.

About the Role:
Our team of nearly 40 teachers is growing, and we’re looking for more piano teachers to join us. While being fun and relatable is important, piano teachers must also have a solid education and a strong understanding of music theory. The ideal candidate will have experience in adaptive music instruction tailored to various learning styles and developmental stages, including working with neurodiverse populations.

Key Responsibilities:
•Teach beginner to intermediate piano to young children
•Provide adaptive instruction that supports a wide range of learning needs and developmental stages
•Develop lesson plans, create course materials such as worksheets, musical toys, homework assignments, music

theory assignments
•Prepare students for graded music exams and competitions
•Work with neurodiverse students, including those with autism and ADHD

Qualifications:
•A university degree in music or equivalent professional training
•5+ years of experience teaching young children at a music school
•Skilled in adaptive teaching methods for diverse learning needs
•Experience preparing students for classic music examinations
•Strong foundation in music theory and classical repertoire
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Availability to work evenings and weekends, as per academy hours
•Experience teaching both one-on-one and group lessons is an asset
•Experience working with neurodiverse students is a strong asset
