Taro’s Fish Inc. is looking for a Food Service Manager; for a salary of; $36.00 per hour for 40.0 hours per week to work at two location(s); at 800 Sheppard Ave. East, Toronto Ontario and at 735 Markland St. Unit 8, Markham Ontario.

Qualifications;
• Minimum of two year or more of experience in the food service industry.
• Minimum of two year or more of experience in supervising the preparation and serving of Japanese seafood (raw and deep-fried seafood).
• Must have excellent customer service, organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
• Must have excellent leadership and management skills
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime as assigned
• Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Completion of secondary (high) school is required
• Proficient in oral and written English is required


Job Duties
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of take-out and retail food service.
• Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
• Recruit, hire, oversee training and supervise staff.
• Schedule shifts and monitor staff performance.
• Maintain and monitor inventory records and revenues for both location(s).
• Take inventory of food supplies and other consumables, ordering necessary supplies as needed, and receiving deliveries.
• Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other suppliers.
• Ensure that customers are served quality food in a timely manner.
• Respond and resolve to customer complaints tactfully and professionally and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Maintain systems and procedures for the ordering, receiving, storing, preparing, labelling, preparing and serving of food as well as menu planning.
• Forecast, reporting and accounting weekly.
• Completing payroll and maintaining employment records.
• Reviewing sales records to determine which menu items are most profitable.
• Regularly inspecting all work areas to ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations.
• Arranging cleaning and maintenance services including trash removal, pest control, deep cleaning, and equipment maintenance, as needed.
