Job Description
Cuisine Specialties: Sushi Chef, Japanese Hot Cuisine Chef (Ramen, Rice Dishes, Noodle Dishes etc)
Work Setting: Restaurant
Required Skills: Estimate food requirements. Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards, Create new recipes, Supervise assistant cook. Full responsibility for preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food. Maintain records of inventory. Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions, Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods, Requisition food and kitchen supplies, Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Food Specialties: Hot kitchen, Eggs and dairy, Cereals, Fish and seafood, Meat, Poultry, Vegetables, fruits, nuts and mushrooms, Stocks, soups and sauces
Applicant Requirements
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Minimum Professional Experience: 2 years
Ability to Supervise: 1-2 people
Work Location Information: Urban area
Work Site Environment: Wet/Damp, Noisy, Odours, Non-smoking
