$40.84-$45.68 hourly
Our hospital in Arnprior, ON currently has an opportunity available for a Part-Time Infection Prevention & Control (IPAC) Coordinator.


This position, which reports directly to the Vice President of Patient & Resident Services, will provide Infection Prevention & Control support for both, the hospital as well as our nursing home.



The IPAC Coordinator Responsibilities include:


Planning, organizing and directing activities as they pertain to the management of infection control programs throughout the hospital.

Includes but is not limited to providing ongoing surveillance based on assessments of patients and residents
communicating and reporting on relevant IPAC information and for providing ongoing education and training to staff members, ensuring compliance with IPAC Canada and Accreditation Canada standards.

As the content expert, you will also provide advice to all departments in a consultant capacity and commit to quality improvement and to patient, resident and staff safety.


Qualifications:

RN in good standing with the CNO and a BScN required

Certification with the Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology

Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a hospital setting required

Demonstrated excellence in communication and interpersonal skills, sound knowledge and understanding of hospital policies & procedures and relevant legislation

Proven abilities in complex analysis, critical thinking and problem solving

Excellent computer and presentation skills
