 Description  : Royal Window Fashions Inc. is the industry leader in window blinds, drapery and screen supplies operating 4 stores across the lower mainland. Currently, we are looking for a talented Purchasing Manager to join our buying team and work from our Burnaby, BC location on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for ensuring product variety using market trend analysis information to continue providing the wide variety of window covering brands & products that have made us leaders in the industry.

We believe that it is our responsibility to supply to our clients a complete line of high quality window treatments and the Purchasing Manager must share the same values and priorities.

Main Duties and responsibilities:

• Manage, direct, and control the purchasing activities of our company.
• Purchase window coverings, rod and tracks, and the necessary parts and fittings required for its installation, coordinate with the warehouse for receiving of purchased goods and work closely with the warehouse team to maintain and monitor inventory levels.
• Develop purchasing policies and procedures and control purchasing department budget.
• Identify new materials, trends and styles in order to keep up with changes in the market.
• Negotiate price, purchasing contract terms, and shipping methods with suppliers and vendors.
• Review and process purchase order claims and contracts for conformance with the company’s policy.
• Coordinate activities between purchasing and warehouse departments.
• Develop and maintain relationship with vendors and suppliers.

The right candidate has the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or College diploma in business, commerce or economics OR minimum 2-3 years of experience as a purchasing agent with increased responsibilities is required.
• Excellent verbal/written in English and communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple project in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to identify and anticipate changing trends.
• Good negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational, time-management and problem solving skills.

Compensation: $ 67,000.00 annually (30 hours per week)
